Graeme Ker BSc BDS (Glasgow) GDC 264290 - Dentist
Graeme is a fellow Glaswegian, originally from the south side until his family moved to England when he was 10 years old. He spent his high school years in the lovely seaside town of Lytham St Anne’s in Lancashire, until returning to Glasgow for university. Graeme originally studied Chemistry and after obtaining is BSc he went back to study at Glasgow Dental School, as was his plan all along. After graduating with commendation in 2016, he spent his vocational training year in Edinburgh at Colinton Dental Practice, enjoying a good mix of NHS and private dentistry. The following couple of years were spent within the same company working at Riccarton Dental Practice at the Heriot-Watt University campus. Here, Graeme was in charge of caring for a culturally diverse range of students and researchers and local families whilst working hard at postgraduate courses to improve the quality of treatments and patient experiences. Now, he has returned to Glasgow to join the team at Buttercup where he is thoroughly enjoying himself. Graeme takes a particular interest in root canal treatments and in treating toothwear. He has done a handful of courses to improve his skills in these fields and enjoys accepting challenging cases, with great results. Graeme spent a week studying an Aesthetics masterclass at the prestigious Eastman College in London to be able to offer quality cosmetic dentistry. Outside of dentistry he spends time cooking at home and keeping fit in the gym. At weekends he plays golf down in Prestwick and makes music in his home studio with his guitar and synthesizers. He spends his holidays wining and dining in Italy, backpacking in remote locations or skiing in the alps.
