Dr Manveer Gill BSc (Hons), BDS (Glasgow) GDC 179436 - Principal Dentist
Dr. Manveer Gill is the Principal Dentist at Buttercup Dental, renowned for her precision, artistry, and expertise in advanced smile makeovers. With dual qualifications in dental technology and dentistry, she offers a unique, detail-driven approach to aesthetic and restorative treatments.
Graduating with First Class Honours in Dental Technology in 2009, followed by a Dentistry degree from the University of Glasgow in 2014, Dr. Manveer has since become a sought-after expert in Invisalign, composite bonding, and veneers. Her results are known for being both natural and transformative.
She also has a passion for oral surgery and prosthodontics, and for nearly a decade has lectured on removable dentures to newly qualified dentists. In addition, she is highly trained in facial aesthetics—providing anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, and medical-grade skincare as a certified ZO Skin Health provider.
Combining clinical excellence with a refined aesthetic eye, Dr. Manveer delivers beautifully bespoke results tailored to each patient.
Dr Kerry Andrew BDS (Glasgow) PGDip (Periodontics) GDC 270455 - Dentist
Kerry, originally from Ayrshire, moved to Glasgow to study dentistry graduating in 2017. She then spent the next 6 yrs working in Ayrshire before starting in Buttercup in October 2023.
Kerry is currently studying for her Post Graduate Diploma in Periodontology. This will enable her to treat unresponsive gum disease, provide crown lengthening for aesthetic and functional reasons and provide gingival grafts to treat gum recession.
Kerry enjoys building strong relationships with her patients in a friendly and relaxed environment and loves giving them the ability to smile with confidence again.
Outside of work, Kerry lives in the Southside of Glasgow with her fiancé and 2 cats Malcolm and Martha. She loves travelling and experiencing new cultures. Recently returning from Slovenia which has become one of her favourite places she has ever been. She goes to the gym regularly where she has the club record for heaviest squat and deadlift.
Dr Bilal Aslam-Pervez MSc (Implantology) BDS (Glas) MBChB (Manc) - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Aslam-Pervez is a dually qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, holding both Dental (University of Glasgow) and Medical (University of Manchester) degrees, as well as an MSc in Implantology (University of Cardiff). He has placed hundreds of dental implants across the UK and works as a Specialty Doctor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. His work in these hospitals involves managing complex patients in Head and Neck Cancer, Deformity and Trauma.
His expertise includes complex implant cases, sinus lifts, bone grafting, and nerve repositioning. Dr. Aslam-Pervez is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF). He is actively involved in postgraduate teaching, mentoring dentists for the MJDF examination, and has taught both postgraduate and undergraduate dental students.
Dr Amina Imran BDS(Dundee) GDC 308627 - Dentist
Amina graduated from the University of Dundee in 2023 before completing her Vocational Training year in East Kilbride in 2024. She has a particular interest in restorative dentistry, especially dentures, crowns, and onlays, and enjoys helping patients restore both the function and aesthetics of their smiles.
Amina is passionate about providing high-quality care in a relaxed and positive environment. She has a keen interest in composite and prosthetic dentistry and is committed to continual professional development. She has completed an anterior composite course and an onlay course, and is currently undertaking a month-long course in London focused on enhancing the overall patient experience. Over the next year, Amina plans to further her skills with additional training, particularly in prosthetics.
Outside of dentistry, Amina lives in the Southside of Glasgow and enjoys cooking, baking, and keeping active through the gym and reformer Pilates classes. She also loves spending time outdoors walking her two dogs, Angus and Iona.
Dr Claire Black - Dentist with Special Interest in Endodontics
Dr Claire Black BDS (Belfast, 2007), MFDS RCPS (Glasgow, 2009), MSc Endodontics (Chester, 2024)
Dentist with Special Interest in Endodontics.
With over 17 years of clinical experience, Dr Claire Black is our Dentist with Special Interest in Endodontics. She graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007 and went on to achieve Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2009.
Dr Black has continued to develop her expertise in the field of root canal treatment. She was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontology with Distinction from the University of Chester, followed by a Master’s degree in Endodontics in 2024—again graduating with Distinction.
In addition to her endodontic training, she is also a certified Invisalign provider and has a keen interest in short-term orthodontics and teeth whitening.
Dr Black is known for her warm and friendly approach, helping even the most anxious patients feel at ease. She builds strong, trusting relationships with patients and has a particular passion for educating children about good oral health. She regularly visits nurseries and schools to lead interactive sessions on toothbrushing and oral hygiene.
Outside the clinic, Dr Black enjoys a busy family life with her two young daughters. She’s also a keen runner, cyclist and yoga enthusiast—topics she’s always happy to chat about if you’re looking for a distraction in the dental chair!
Fiona McGrath CEP Dip Dent Hygiene GDC 4791 - Hygienist
Our hygienist, Fiona qualified in 1994 at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and has worked at Buttercup since 2017. She loves working here as our ethos really suits her and has since given up her two other positions in favour of Buttercup.
Fiona pushes herself to be as gentle as possible and works with the patient to find the best way to achieve optimum oral health.
Fiona lives with her husband, three children and dog. She is also the managing director of a Renfrewshire charity.
Mia - Hygienist
Mia qualified from the University of Dundee in 2016 and, after completing her training at Hollies Dental Practice in Dunoon.
She is hugely enthusiastic and passionate about both Periodontal Therapy and Restorative Dentistry.
Outside the surgery, Mia has spent time working with children through the Rebuild Project in South Africa, including spells at orphanages for those infected with AIDS and HIV.
Mia enjoys singing and playing trombone as well as knitting, fishing and art. She also plays hockey and netball for her local clubs.
Zoe - Practice Manager
Zoe has been an integral part of our practice for over six years and is the heartbeat of our day-to-day operations. As our Practice Manager, she brings exceptional clinical expertise, outstanding organisational skills, and a warm, friendly approach that puts patients at ease.
Zoe is not only a top-tier leader, but also a caring and compassionate presence who ensures every visit is as comfortable and smooth as possible. Her dedication to patient care and team leadership makes her a valued member of our team and a favorite among our patients.
Carly - Nurse
With years of experience in dentistry, Carly is a valued member of our clinical team, known for her dedication to patient care and attention to detail.
As a dental nurse, she plays an important role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring every appointment runs smoothly, safely, and comfortably for our patients. Carly takes pride in creating a calm and welcoming environment, helping patients feel at ease throughout their treatment.
Outside of work, Carly loves going on holidays and exploring the world, always looking forward to discovering new places and cultures.
Caitlin - Nurse
Caitlin is a skilled and friendly dental nurse who is currently training to become a dental hygiene therapist. While she continues to support our team with her excellent clinical skills, she brings a calm, professional presence that patients really appreciate.
Caitlin’s dedication to her work and passion for dentistry shine through in everything she does, making her a fantastic asset to both our team and our patients.
Claire - Nurse
Claire is a valued member of our nursing team, known for her friendly nature and caring approach. She plays an important role in supporting both our patients and clinicians, always ensuring a calm and welcoming environment.
With a gentle manner and a passion for patient care, Claire helps make every visit to the practice a positive experience. Before joining the dental field, Claire worked as a veterinary nurse, and she has a real love for animals which reflects in her compassionate and caring nature both inside and outside of the practice.
Morgan - Receptionist
Morgan is dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist and Dental Nurse with a passion for providing exceptional front of house support environment.
With strong organisational skills and a warm, welcoming demeanour, Morgan takes pride in creating a positive first impression for every patient who walks through the door.
My goal is to help make every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible, contributing to a seamless and caring patient experience from start to finish.

Dr Black has continued to develop her expertise in the field of root canal treatment. She was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontology with Distinction from the University of Chester, followed by a Master’s degree in Endodontics in 2024—again graduating with Distinction.
In addition to her endodontic training, she is also a certified Invisalign provider and has a keen interest in short-term orthodontics and teeth whitening.
Dr Black is known for her warm and friendly approach, helping even the most anxious patients feel at ease. She builds strong, trusting relationships with patients and has a particular passion for educating children about good oral health. She regularly visits nurseries and schools to lead interactive sessions on toothbrushing and oral hygiene.

Fiona pushes herself to be as gentle as possible and works with the patient to find the best way to achieve optimum oral health.
Fiona lives with her husband, three children and dog. She is also the managing director of a Renfrewshire charity.

Mia qualified from the University of Dundee in 2016 and, after completing her training at Hollies Dental Practice in Dunoon.
She is hugely enthusiastic and passionate about both Periodontal Therapy and Restorative Dentistry.
Outside the surgery, Mia has spent time working with children through the Rebuild Project in South Africa, including spells at orphanages for those infected with AIDS and HIV.
Mia enjoys singing and playing trombone as well as knitting, fishing and art. She also plays hockey and netball for her local clubs.

Dr. Aslam-Pervez is a dually qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, holding both Dental (University of Glasgow) and Medical (University of Manchester) degrees, as well as an MSc in Implantology (University of Cardiff). He has placed hundreds of dental implants across the UK and works as a Specialty Doctor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. His work in these hospitals involves managing complex patients in Head and Neck Cancer, Deformity and Trauma.

Dr. Manveer Gill is the Principal Dentist at Buttercup Dental, renowned for her precision, artistry, and expertise in advanced smile makeovers. With dual qualifications in dental technology and dentistry, she offers a unique, detail-driven approach to aesthetic and restorative treatments.
Graduating with First Class Honours in Dental Technology in 2009, followed by a Dentistry degree from the University of Glasgow in 2014, Dr. Manveer has since become a sought-after expert in Invisalign, composite bonding, and veneers. Her results are known for being both natural and transformative.
She also has a passion for oral surgery and prosthodontics, and for nearly a decade has lectured on removable dentures to newly qualified dentists. In addition, she is highly trained in facial aesthetics—providing anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, and medical-grade skincare as a certified ZO Skin Health provider.

Dr Kerry Andrew BDS (Glasgow) PGDip (Periodontics) GDC 270455 - Dentist
Kerry, originally from Ayrshire, moved to Glasgow to study dentistry graduating in 2017. She then spent the next 6 yrs working in Ayrshire before starting in Buttercup in October 2023.
Kerry is currently studying for her Post Graduate Diploma in Periodontology. This will enable her to treat unresponsive gum disease, provide crown lengthening for aesthetic and functional reasons and provide gingival grafts to treat gum recession.
Kerry enjoys building strong relationships with her patients in a friendly and relaxed environment and loves giving them the ability to smile with confidence again.
Outside of work, Kerry lives in the Southside of Glasgow with her fiancé and 2 cats Malcolm and Martha. She loves travelling and experiencing new cultures. Recently returning from Slovenia which has become one of her favourite places she has ever been. She goes to the gym regularly where she has the club record for heaviest squat and deadlift.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr Bilal Aslam-Pervez MSc (Implantology) BDS (Glas) MBChB (Manc) - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Aslam-Pervez is a dually qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, holding both Dental (University of Glasgow) and Medical (University of Manchester) degrees, as well as an MSc in Implantology (University of Cardiff). He has placed hundreds of dental implants across the UK and works as a Specialty Doctor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. His work in these hospitals involves managing complex patients in Head and Neck Cancer, Deformity and Trauma.
His expertise includes complex implant cases, sinus lifts, bone grafting, and nerve repositioning. Dr. Aslam-Pervez is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF). Amina graduated from the University of Dundee in 2023 before completing her Vocational Training year in East Kilbride in 2024. She has a particular interest in restorative dentistry, especially dentures, crowns, and onlays, and enjoys helping patients restore both the function and aesthetics of their smiles.
Amina is passionate about providing high-quality care in a relaxed and positive environment. She has a keen interest in composite and prosthetic dentistry and is committed to continual professional development. She has completed an anterior composite course and an onlay course, and is currently undertaking a month-long course in London focused on enhancing the overall patient experience. Over the next year, Amina plans to further her skills with additional training, particularly in prosthetics.
Outside of dentistry, Amina lives in the Southside of Glasgow and enjoys cooking, baking, and keeping active through the gym and reformer Pilates classes. She also loves spending time outdoors walking her two dogs, Angus and Iona.

Dentist with Special Interest in Endodontics.
With over 17 years of clinical experience, Dr Claire Black is our Dentist with Special Interest in Endodontics. She graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007 and went on to achieve Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2009.
Dr Black has continued to develop her expertise in the field of root canal treatment. She was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontology with Distinction from the University of Chester, followed by a Master’s degree in Endodontics in 2024—again graduating with Distinction.
In addition to her endodontic training, she is also a certified Invisalign provider and has a keen interest in short-term orthodontics and teeth whitening.
Dr Black is known for her warm and friendly approach, helping even the most anxious patients feel at ease. She builds strong, trusting relationships with patients and has a particular passion for educating children about good oral health. She regularly visits nurseries and schools to lead interactive sessions on toothbrushing and oral hygiene.
Outside the clinic, Dr Black enjoys a busy family life with her two young daughters. She’s also a keen runner, cyclist and yoga enthusiast—topics she’s always happy to chat about if you’re looking for a distraction in the dental chair!

Fiona McGrath CEP Dip Dent Hygiene GDC 4791 - Hygienist
Our hygienist, Fiona qualified in 1994 at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and has worked at Buttercup since 2017. She loves working here as our ethos really suits her and has since given up her two other positions in favour of Buttercup.
Fiona pushes herself to be as gentle as possible and works with the patient to find the best way to achieve optimum oral health.
Fiona lives with her husband, three children and dog. She is also the managing director of a Renfrewshire charity.
Hygienist
Mia - Hygienist
Mia qualified from the University of Dundee in 2016 and, after completing her training at Hollies Dental Practice in Dunoon.
She is hugely enthusiastic and passionate about both Periodontal Therapy and Restorative Dentistry.
Outside the surgery, Mia has spent time working with children through the Rebuild Project in South Africa, including spells at orphanages for those infected with AIDS and HIV.
Mia enjoys singing and playing trombone as well as knitting, fishing and art. She also plays hockey and netball for her local clubs.
