Have you heard about Invisalign Glasgow clear aligners from a friend or family member? If so you might be looking for more information about dental practices near you which can offer Invisalign Glasgow aligners near you. Here at Buttercup 7 Day Dental, we are proud to offer a wide variety of treatments to our patients. Alongside dental implants and cosmetic dentistry practices, we are pleased to offer Invisalign aligners.

Invisalign aligners have become more well-known over recent years, and we often come across patients looking for more information. If you can relate to something like that, you are not alone!

Invisalign is a treatment plan that utilises a series of consecutive aligners to progressively move your teeth into alignment, closer to the smile you wish for. Whether you struggle with overcrowded teeth or large gaps between them, Invisalign could be a good option for you.

To establish whether Invisalign Glasgow aligners are a suitable option to treat your dental needs, you can book an appointment with a member of our friendly team. Our dentist will be able to have a detailed look at your teeth and ask any relevant questions about your dental and medical history. This examination will help to inform a decision about whether these aligners are a good treatment for you.

What can I expect from Invisalign treatment?

Of course, treatment of any kind can vary between patients, and to gain a more specific idea about the outlook for you personally, please discuss this with your qualified dentist.

Often, after a consultation to determine your eligibility for treatment, photos, x-rays and/or scans can be used to provide a visual representation of what you may expect your teeth to look like at the end of your treatment period. Impressions of your teeth will be taken for the aligners to be custom-made to your specific requirements. The aligners will be made from SmartTrack material, which can be shaped to create a snug and comfortable fit around your teeth. It can be trimmed around the gum line in order to promote comfort and reduce the likelihood of rubbing occurring.

Once your aligners have been manufactured, you will have to return to see us in order to receive your first few sets of aligners. Our dentist will instruct you on how often to switch from one aligner to the next. Each set is often worn for a couple of weeks before being replaced by the next aligner in the series. Each set of aligners is created to be slightly different from the last one; this is the mechanism that gradually moves your teeth towards their intended final positions. The aligners should be worn for around 22 hours per day; this allows enough time for them to be removed before eating, drinking or cleaning your teeth.

When treatment is concluded, you need to continue to wear a retainer to help maintain the new position of your teeth.

Here at Buttercup 7 Day Dental, we would be delighted to discuss Invisalign Glasgow treatment with you, along with any of the other treatments which we have available. Please do give us a call.
